The Yiddish Sof-Vokh UK is a project of the Yiddish Cafe Trust, a registered charity that also organises the Yiddish Open Mic Café and the Yiddish Theatre Café. All these projects are planned entirely on a voluntary basis by a group of passionate Yiddishists from around the UK (and a few living elsewhere). We are very grateful for their dedication and their generosity with their time.
For the 2024 Sof-Vokh, the Organising Group includes:
- Executive committee: Osian Evans Sharma, Stephen Ogin, Pam Singer, Phil Tomlinson, Myra Woolfson
- Programme: Barry Burland, Osian Evans Sharma, Vivi Lachs, Ilan Pillemer
- Plenary sessions: Roger Noble, Ilan Pillemer, Judy Sherwood
- Website and publicity: Jake Schneider
- Finance and bookings: Pam Singer, Phil Tomlinson
- Other assistance: Barry Smerin, Sue Cooper
