Our Yiddish Open Mic Café runs approximately once a month. These online events draw participants and listeners from across the Yiddish-speaking world to share songs, poetry, stories and more in Yiddish, with Yiddish and English texts on the screen. Details of our next event are below:

Special Guest: Miri Koral
Miri teaches Yiddish language, literature and film at UCLA, and is Founding Director of the California Institute for Yiddish Culture and Language (www.yiddishi.org). She is also a Yiddish translator, poet, and dialect coach.

We invite old and new performers to participate, on the theme or not. Please send your presentations of up to 6 minutes in PowerPoint (preferably) or Word, in both Yiddish (oysyes if possible, or transliteration) and English translation to openmic@yiddishcafe.com by Wednesday 8 October.
We are happy to translate your material or transcribe it in oysyes. We will need at least a week, please.
